Our Natural Hot Spring Pools

We invite you to experience Eclipse, a natural hot springs, only a 25-minute drive from downtown Whitehorse. The mineral water flows naturally and is not heated, filtered or altered in any way. When it leaves the ground, the water has a temperature of 45.6°C/117°F. The bathing pools maintain a temperature ranging between 37-41°C (98-106°F).

This facility was created integrating the best practices from around the world- the cleansing ritual from Iceland, stone pool design from Japan, thermotherapy from Scandinavia and outdoor features from Canada’s upcoming Nordic Spa trend. We welcome you to discover Eclipse, our distinctive nordic hot springs in Whitehorse’s boreal forest and mountains.

The Eclipse Pool

This is the largest pool and the showcase of our facility. Its authentic Japanese design underscores the natural beauty of the landscape. Featuring the soothing sights and sounds of cascading waterfalls, it has a multitude of immersion options. Find your favourite boulder to lean back, or a stone bench to sit on. Upon entering the pool’s shallow end, bathers are offered the choice of lay-down areas or sitting directly on the pool floor. Bathers can enjoy finding the right spot for optimal relaxation and comfort or for conversation corners when soaking with friends and family. Idyllic views of the mountains are enhanced by the pool’s infinity edge, completing the picture for the perfect hot springs experience.

The Onsen Pool

Entirely lined with rock, this Japanese-style pool is fed by a cascading waterfall and overflows into a small creek. It overlooks the natural, tiered rock landscaping of the Solstice Sanctuary. This pool provides seating on stone benches rather than directly on the pool floor. The Onsen will comfortably seat up to ten people, and due to this size, it is an optimal conversational circle. Like all our pools, with the right conditions, it is a great place to view the northern lights in winter.

The Aurora Pool

This pool is perfectly placed to give a panoramic view, and with the right celestial conditions, it is a great place to view the northern lights in winter.

While all of the hot springs pools are entered via a heated hallway, this pool is unique in that it is accessed through a heated and covered ramp within our heated hall. The addition of this covered/heated ramp allows excellent access for all bathers, including individuals in wheelchairs, year-round even at -50°C temperatures! Benches are placed to face one another on the two wings of a “V” shape, allowing bathers to select the ideal spot for socializing or viewing. The contoured benches even have lumbar support built into their design!

The Hidden Pool

Seasonal Availbility*
This small pool is tucked away behind the Eclipse Pool. It comfortably seats 4 people and is perfectly positioned to see the pond and the Ibex Valley mountains. This summer only pool is a perfect spot to cool off and relax. 31°C - 34°C

Japanese Ceramic Tubs

Seasonal Availbility*
Our clay “hot pots” or tubs are handcrafted in Japan from the famous Shigaraki ceramic studios. The three tubs feature a continuous flow of warm water emanating from a clay faucet fed by natural pressure from the hot spring. As a “cool down” tub, they are designed to create a relaxing experience at a lower temperature than the hot pools. Hot pots offer an excellent way to experience the natural mineral water without having to share water space. Ceramic tubs are only available in the summertime.

Cold Plunges

Seasonal Availbility*
There are two outdoor cold plunges available in the summer. The cold plunges use demineralised hotsprings water. Set between 3° to 7° C, these cedar tubs are a great way to cool off and get a breathtaking stream of endorphins!
